 Roasted pear and cabbage

I really love it when you can create an awesome dish from just a few fresh ingredients without too much fuss. This is one of those side dishes that really comes together in a jiffy, tastes delicious and is visually very pleasing.

I served this with roast chicken and a fresh garden salad for a Sunday afternoon family lunch.

I usually like my baked fruit served with a helping of ice-cream or fresh yogurt, but I sort of figured it might be fun to combine them with a more savory taste: blue cheese and cabbage.
