The only thing that you need to do when making this pasta is stirring a few ingredients together.  This pasta is a firm family favorite of ours and can be put together in less than 30 minutes.  It really hits the spot if you are feeling like a light summery pasta.  The creamy sauce has a beautiful freshness about it that won’t make you feel weighed down like most other rich pasta dishes.  Feel free to add as much parmesan as you think is necessary.  Remember cream and parmesan are like peas in a pot – a match made in culinary heaven.

What will I need to make delicious Linguine al Limone?

It is really not an extensive ingredients list, nor an expensive one. With a few pantry staples, you can have fresh homemade pasta in no time. I promise your family will look at you with eyes of adoration and wonder.

You will need:
  • 350g of good quality organic linguine pasta
  • 2 tsp of salt
  • 1 cup of fresh thick cream
  • 2 lemons 
  • 2 egg yolks (pasteurized if you’re not living on the wild side)
  • 1 cup of finely grated parmesan cheese plus some extra to add on top of pasta
  • 1/4 cup of chopped parsley or mint.  
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

How do I made this gorgeous lemon pasta?

Like I explained this is a quick and easy pasta to assemble and perfect for a lunch that needs to happen soon. It really is as easy as just boiling the linguine and just whisking the sauce ingredients. Top it with a bit of lemon zest, lots of parmesan cheese, and some parsley and you are good to go!

How to make Linguine le Limone
  1. Boil the pasta as per instruction on the packaging.
  2. Mix the egg yolks, cream, the parmesan, the zest of two of the lemons as well as the juice of one of the lemons together in a mixing bowl.
  3. Remove the pasta when done and mix with the prepared cream sauce. 
  4. Serve with more parmesan, lemon zest, and a sprinkle of parsley or mint.
